John Wright
National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Manager, Northeastern Regional Office
Washington, DC
I manage a competitive grant program called the Northeast Forests and Rivers Fund that funds sustainable forest management for the benefit of multiple bird species, including the golden-winged warbler, grassland management for bobolink and other grassland birds, restoration of aquatic connectivity and aquatic habitat to benefit brook trout, Atlantic salmon, river herring and Northeast turtles, especially wood turtles. A primary habitat focus is restoration of forested riparian buffers and strategic wood additions. If you are working on bat conservation and solutions for White-nose Syndrome NFWF has a partnership with the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service and private funders.
